Del Fuego, a new Mexican restaurant concept by restaurateur/chef Joseph DeNicola, has fired up its ovens, serving burritos, tacos, assorted homemade guacamoles, ribs, Mexican specialties, and 50 tequilas at its bar. Del Fuego Mexican restaurant is located on North Country Road in Saint James, and welcomes our newest location on Deer Park Avenue in the Village of Babylon, just a short drive from the Nesconset area.
The DeNicola family wanted to bring something unique to Nesconset that has been missing for a long time. They envisioned a healthy, Fresh, and Fun type of food - “Mexican Tex-Mex". They serve some of the best Mexican cuisine you could imagine. More and more diners are looking for healthy alternative types of food that not only tastes delicious, but can also be health conscious and figure friendly.

Our love of artistic design and unique works from local artists creates a lively and casual atmosphere and tell a story of energy and fun. All the art work that you see on the walls and the design of the bar are all creations from local Long Island artists.
Del Fuego is DeNicola’s fourth Long Island restaurant, once again in partnership with his brothers, Jim and Leo DeNicola. While Ruvo West (Greenlawn), Ruvo East (Port Jefferson) and La Tavola (Sayville) all capitalize the DeNicola family's authentic Italian cuisine with an emphasis on high-quality service, the St. James restaurant is a dramatic shift in style. We serve the freshest organic food around and source the menu with main ingredients from ethical farms. The wood for the bar is from a mill right here on Long Island! That must be why it feels so much like home… DeNicola says he has been inspired to explore Mexican-influenced menus by some of the great Hispanic chefs on Long Island, notably Wilmer Bedoya, who is a chef de cuisine at DeNicola’s Greenlawn location.

Del Fuego’s signature tequila is infused with habanero, poblano, and jalapenos, while our featured cocktail is the Casa Del Fuego, which includes chili-infused tequila, and, as with all of our specialty drinks, fresh squeezed juices and purees.
